وقد جمع المؤلف في هذا البحث الأحاديث المشتركة بين المدرستين - مدرسة أهل البيت عليهم السلام ومدرسة السنّة والجماعة - والتي تتكلم عن سيرة الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم وهي كثيرة جداً وابتعد عن الأسلوب الخلافي والجدلي الذي يؤدي إلى التفرقة والتباعد بين المسلمين.
وكان هدف المؤلف إطلاع القارئ على مدى التشابه والتلاقي في الأحاديث المروية في هذا الخصوص، وأنها أخذت من منهل واحد وفيها تشابه كثير.
