صحفي وكاتب مصري، من مواليد القاهرة 21 فبراير 1914م، ويعد من أهم الصحفيين المصريين، وقد أصدر العديد من المؤلفات الأدبية والصحفية، كما سجل تجربته القاسية في المعتقل السياسي في تسعة كتب وروايات هي سنة أولى وثانية وثالثة ورابعة وخامسة سجن، وكذلك روايات هي صاحب الجلالة الحب وصاحبة الجلالة في الزنانة، تحولت روايته سنة أولى حب إلى فيلم ثم تحولت رواياته (لا) و(الآنسة كاف) إلى تمثيليات إذاعية ثم تلفزيونية، صحفي وكاتب مصري، من مواليد القاهرة 21 فبراير 1914م، ويعد من أهم الصحفيين المصريين، وقد أصدر العديد من المؤلفات الأدبية والصحفية، كما سجل تجربته القاسية في المعتقل السياسي في تسعة كتب وروايات هي سنة أولى وثانية وثالثة ورابعة وخامسة سجن، وكذلك روايات هي صاحب الجلالة الحب وصاحبة الجلالة في الزنانة، تحولت روايته سنة أولى حب إلى فيلم ثم تحولت رواياته (لا) و(الآنسة كاف) إلى تمثيليات إذاعية ثم تلفزيونية، كما ألف للسينما أفلام (معبودة الجماهير) و(فاطمة) وكان أول إنتاج له كتابه (أمريكا الضاحكة) عام 1943م والذي نفذت 3 طبعات منه خلال شهريين.

(النحو الواضح في قواعد اللغة العربية) كتاب تعليمي للمرحلة الإبتدائية موجه للمعلمين اعتمد مؤلفاه الدكتور مصطفى أمين والدكتور علي الجارم على طريقة جديدة في تدريس قواعد اللغة العربية وهي: "طريقة الإستنباط التي هي أكثر طرق التعليم قربا إلى عقول الأطفال، وأثبتها أثرا في نفوسهم، وأقربها إلى المنطلق، لأنها خير دافع إلى التفكير والبحث، وتعرف وجوه المشابهة والمخالفة بين الأشباه والأضداد...".
لأجل ذلك، يجمع هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه الكثير من الأمثلة التي تستنبط منها القواعد، على طراز حديث لم يسبق له مثال، سهلة ومفهومة، وشائقة جذابة وقريبة من نفس الطالب في تلك المرحلة.
أيضا، احتوى الكتاب على تمرينات في الإنشاء، ترتبط بالقواعد التي ألم التلاميذ بها، في الصف، حتى يظهر للطلاب الأثر البيّن في سداد القول وحسن البيان، من هنا يرى مؤلفا الكتاب ضرورة في أن يمتزج تعليم قواعد اللغة العربية بتعليم الإنشاء وهو ما يظهر جليا في هذا العمل...
