يختص هذا الكتاب بموضوع لغة الجسد أو علم الأبدان Body types، وهو محاولة للتعرف على مبدأ علم الأبدان بتمظهراته المختلفة. وتقوم هذه المحاولة على معرفة إلى أي نمط من الشخصيات تنتمي حنى نستطيع فهم ذواتنا اكثر وفهم الآخرين وبالتالي نتعرف إلى كيفية إقامة علاقة متزنة مع الأنماط الشخصية المختلفة.
تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب من كونه يحتوي على معلومات مهمة من الناحية السيكولوجية فضلاً عن أنه محاولة لإدراك الآخر والتواصل الآخر معه عبر قنوات مختلفة تطال كل طاقات الإنسان اللفينة، إضافة إلى أن الكتاب له فائدة حياتية مباشرة على السلوك الإنساني علماً وممارسة، لأن معرفة الذات هي المدعاة الأساسية لحياة متوازنة زمتزنة.
هو كتاب يمكن أن يقرأه الجميع للذين يكتفون بالبحث عن البعد السيكولوجي لمعرفة شخصيتهم من خلال أشكالهم، للذين يريدون معرفة مع من يتفقون ويختلفون ولماذا.
تقول الدكتورة جاكلين الغصين: إن فهم الذات حسب مبدأ "الطريق الرابع" هو التركيز على فهم الذات الآن (في اللحظة الحاضرة) بعيداً عن "أوهام الأنا" فنحن عندما نشير إلى ذواتنا نعتقد بأننا واعين لتصرفاتنا وبالتالي نحن قادرين على تحمل المسؤوليات المترتبة على أفعالنا. ولكن العكس هو الصحيح، ففي كل ثلاث ثوان تتجدد "الأنا" وتتغير ولكن ثبات مظهرنا الخارجي أو بالأحرى التغيير البطيء لمظهرنا الخارجي يدفعنا إلى الإعتقاد الخاطئ بثبات الأنا وبوحدتها وأخيراً تستنتج الدكتورة الغصين أن القرار يعود لنا في التعرف على طبيعة ذواتنا وتقصد بها الأنا الصغرى التي هي نواة لهويتنا الحقيقية والتي تشكل جسر عبور بين العوالم: المادي والنفسي والأبدي والعقلي والروحي، والتي فيها انعكاس لجوهر المطلق؟ (...) ربما تكون لغة الجسد هي طريقة للتعرف، أو مفتاح تفتح به معبدنا الداخلي للولوج إلى عمق حقيقنا اللاواعية. وعندها نرى صورة الله، الإله القابع في عمق أعماق كلَ منَا. الإله الكلَي الرحمة والمحبة الذي ينتظرنا أبداً..
