إن هذا الكتاب يتناول بشكل عام موضوع عقد الوكالة والذي يعتبر من العقود الهامة في حياتنا، والتي تساعد في تسهيل الكثير من الإجراءات والتصرفات القانونية والشكلية التي فرضها المشرع في المعاملات التي تستوجب شكلاً معيناً أو إجراءاً قانونياً معيناً.
وفي الوقت الحاضر، وبعد التطور الحاصل في التصرفات والمعاملات والحاجة الملحة للوكالة، أخذت التشريعات تفرد نصوصاً خاصة تحكم الوكالة ضمن باب العقود الرضائية الواردة على عقود العمل، وعليه فقد أشار المشرع في القانون المدني الأردني إلى عقد الوكالة في باب خاص لذلك.
وحيث إن عقد الوكالة يقبل بطبيعته أن يرجع فيه أحد العاقدين عن الوكالة أو عزل الوكيل قبل إتمام التصرف القانوني محل الوكالة، أو حتى قبل البدئ فيه، إلا أن الوكالة الخاصة غير القابلة للعزل لتعلق حق الوكيل بها، أو تعلق حق الغير بها، قد إستثناها المشرع في القانون المدني الأردني من هذه القاعدة.
وبشكل عام فإن البحث في موضوع الوكالة هو ما سنتعرض له في هذا الكتاب بشكل مبسط، حيث أن معظم الكتاب سيتناول البحث في الوكالة الخاصة غير القابلة للعزل من حيث تعريفها وخصائصها وشروطها وأنواعها والبحث في الوكالة الخاصة غير القابلة للعزل مقبوضة الثمن والأثر المترتب على إنقضاء أجلها في القانون الأردني، وهو ما لم يتطرق له المشرع من حيث إيضاح مصير تلك الوكالة بعد إنقضاء أجلها.
