يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن أهمية واقع عاشوراء والشعائر الحسينية في التاريخ الإسلامي بما تمثله من فلسفة لتلك الثورة العظيمة وتشرح حقيقة النهضة الحسينية وما أفرزته من قيم ومبادئ في الدفاع عن المحرومين والمظلومين والمضطهدين وتلمس طريق الحق والحرية والإباء.
يضم هذا الكتاب مجموعة محاضرات ألقاها السيد جعفر الحسيني الشيرازي في عام (1427هـ) في مدينة قم المقدسة، وكانت في الحقيقة ندوة حوارية تطرح الأسئلة فيها، وكان السيد جعفر الحسيني الشيرازي يجيب عنها، وهي بمجموعها عشرة حوارات للعشرة الأولى من المحرَم وقد ثبت هذه الحوارات في قناة (سلام) الفضائية الناطقة باللغة الفارسية، وقد تم تنقيحها وترجمتها وطبعها ليعم نفعها فكان هذا الكتاب.
هذا، وقد عالجت الحوارات المواضيع الآتية: -الحوار الأول: أهمية عاشوراء. –الحوار الثاني: الإطعام ومكافحة الفقر. –الحوار الثالث: الحزن في عاشوراء. –الحوار الرابع: إحياء عاشوراء من سنن الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم. –الحوار الخامس: النذور، والشموع، وتقبيل الأضرحة، والتربة الحسينية. –الحوار السادس: البكاء على سيد الشهداء. –الحوار السابع: موضوعية البكاء على سيد الشهداء رضوان الله عليه. –الحوار الثامن: معالم الشعائر الحسينية وضرورتها. –الحوار التاسع: مع المستهزئين بالشعائر. –الحوار العاشر والأخير: من اهداف الإمام الحسيني رضي الله عنه.
