يقول المؤلف بأنه وبعد وقوفه على كتاب وسمه مؤلفه بـ"غاية التبجيل وترك القطع في التفضيل" رأى بأن صاحب هذا الكتاب قد مال عن جادة الصواب، وأتي فيه بالعجب العجاب، ولم يعلم أن للسلف بقية علموا أن العلم لا يؤخذ إلا بإبانه، ولا يفهم إلا بربانه، لذا انبرى للرد عليه، ونقض شبهاته، وإبانة كنه الصواب، وفصل الخطاب، وذلك من خلال كتابه هذا "الوجه الآخر للصوفية حتى لا تنخدع" وقد جعله في فصول جاءت على النحو التالي: في بيان مذهب الزيدية في الخروج على الحكام الجائرين، تأييد أبي بكر المشهور العدني لثورات العلويين الخارجين على حكامهم، وحنينه لأن يكون مقاليد الحكم بأيدي العلويين، في تبجح بعضهم بأنهم الملوك على الحقيقة، نبذة عن الأطماع السياسية للعلويين، من صور التصفية الجسدية عند الصوفية العلويين، حول مذهب الحسن بن صالح بن حي، في ميول كثير من الزيدية إلى مذهب الإمامية الاثنى عشرية، حول فتنة حسين بدر الدين الحرثي بمحافظة صعرة في اليمن، حول ترجمة يحيى بن الحسين بن القاسم الزيدي المقلب بـ(الهادي) في بيان العلة بين التصوف والتشيع، التشيع والتصوف، الحظ الشيعي في الفكر الصوفي الحضرمي، تشيع أبي بكر المشهور العدني، في بيان تعاون الشيعة والصوفية مع المستعمر ضد المسلمين (وقائع تاريخية)، في نصوص أهل العلم والإيمان في تحريم الخروج على الحكام، وأخيراً الخاتمة.
