جوليان هو شاب جزائري واسمه الحقيقي "سمير" ، كان عمره 17 عاماً عندما طرق الهمّ أبوابه؛ "سمير" كبر في وسط ذي تفكير غربي، وهذا ما جعله يجهل الكثير عن تعاليم الإسلام، كما أن وفاة أخته الوحيدة بسبب خطيبها الملتزم هزَّ كيانه، وتخلي أصدقائه عنه في محنته دمر بنيانه، ليتعرف في تلك الفترة الشائكة من حياته على شاب مسيحي يدعى "ميشال" حيث حاول هذا الأخير استغلال انكسار "سمير" فحاول إقناعه أن المحن التي عاشها بعد وفاة أخته سببها "اسلام من حوله"، ليقع "جوليان" بين مد الإسلام و جزر المسيحية، كذلك فإن تأثير "ميشال" كان قوياً لدرجة أنه أقنعه بالمسيحية. لكن بعد هذا كله يكتشف "جوليان" أنه كان وسيلة بيد "ميشال" استعملها للوصول الى أهداف ماكرة، وهذا ما جعل من حياة "سمير" معاناة ضحية للتنصير.
