يحمل مضمون هذا الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته قواعد أخلاقية وتربوية وعقائدية تعالج بعض المشاكل المبتلى بها المجتمع، كأدواء الذنوب وما ينتج عنها من آثار، كالابتعاد عن قيم ومبادئ الشريعة وغيرها مما تطالعه في ثناياه من موضوعات أخرى، والمنهج المتبع في هذا الكتاب يعتمد على الاستطراد والإسهاب والتفريغ، ولا يعتمد المنهج الأكاديمي في المنهجية والأسلوب، وإنما جاء بطريقة تعتمد البساطة في كثير من الأحيان.
وقد اعتمد المؤلف في معالجته لمختلف الموضوعات على آيات من القرآن الكريم والعديد من الروايات المأثورة عن بيت الوحي والعصمة، وعلى حقائق هامة ونظريات حديثة تعالج الكثير من قضايا الحياة الفردية والاجتماعية، ومقارنات بين الكثير من المفاهيم الإسلامية وغيرها من المفاهيم الغربية التي تطرح كبديل عنها، وهي مقارنة تهدف إلى الكشف عن خصوصية المفاهيم الإسلامية الأصلية التي لا بديل عنها، ومن العقائد التربوية والأخلاقية والعقائدية التي يعرض لها المؤلف نذكر: الذنوب وآثارها، آثار العبادات والطاعات، تفاوت الاستعدادات، الهوى، التربية، القيم، العصمة إلى غيرها ذلك من المشكلات في هذا المضمار.
يتناول هذا الكتاب مضامين عديدة في أكثر من مائة وأربعين عنواناً عن الذنوب وآثارها، ومناشئها ومناخها، بالإضافة إلى التربية الإسلامية وأهدافها ومناهجها، وأسسها الدينية والاجتماعية والإنسانية والحضارية، التعليمية والعملية ومسؤولية الكلّ في المجتمع.
يتحدث كذلك عن أصناف الناس وتفاوت الاستعدادات وأحوال النفس، وعوامل المناعة الذاتية، ومنشأ النقص والكمال.
العبادات والطاعات وآثارها التربوية والمعنوية، ومعالجات الكثير من المشكلات في هذا المضمار.
