إننا عندما نأخذ بعين الاعتبار الطريق الذي اختارته الولايات المتحدة لبعث كيانها القومي المتعاظم لحكم العالم, إنما ندرك بأنه ليس هناك ما يخمد العوامل التي تدفعها, لأن هناك أفعالاً كثيرة تتحرك من خلال عملائها, لتذكي نيران الصراع أينما شاءت, وفي أي زمن تريد, وضد أي شعب أو أية دولة, وتعتبرها تحديات تحمل الحساسية المفرطة حيال الصمت عنها, أو نقطة انطلاق لتحويل الأنظار عن الهدف الحقيقي المحدد الذي تريد. إذ أن إزالة عناصر التوتر والقلق في حالة السلم, يبعد حالة التيقظ المطلوبة لتطبيق عوامل السيطرة المطلقة على هذا العالم. يمكن القول إن خير ما تفعله الدول في أي ظرف, هو خلق طابع الصمود, ووسمه بسمة فلسفة الدفاع عن النفس التي تهيء الجو العام لعدم قبول التسامح مع العدو, وتنسيق الخطط الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية والسياسية والحربية, التي تنتقل الجماهير بواسطتها من نقطة التجمع إلى نقطة الموقف الحار المستمد سخونته من سخونة وقساوة التحدي ذاته, ليضع النصر هدفاً استراتيجياً دائماً لا حياد عنه ولا انحراف. الأمر الذي يخلق حالة من الإيثار, والاعتداد بالشخصية والمحافظة على العنوان, ويخلق في الحياة إيمان بالسعي وراء الحرية والقوة.
