• حصل على البكالوريوس من كلية التجارة بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1963.
• تلقى تعليمه العالي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الإدارة من جامعة منيسوتا عام 1966، ثم حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الإدارة العامة من الجامعة الأمريكية بواشنطن في مطلع عام 1970.
• تدرج في السلك الأكاديمي فحصل على درجة أستاذ عام 1979.
• عمل عميداً لكلية التجارة , وكلية العلوم الاجتماعية , وكلية الدراسات العليا، مستشار في عدة هيئات علمية, وعضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة العربية للإدارة, ومجلة العلوم الاجتماعية.
• له العديد من المؤلفات والدواوين الشعرية.

"المأزق العربي الراهن" عنوان الموضوع يفتح ملفات مغلقة في واقع عربي يعيش تناقضات وارتكاسات وارتدادات قضايا عديدة يحاول الباحث من خلالها تلمس موقع السقطات والإنزواءات التي يعاني منها العالم العربي في وقت تتسارع فيه الأمم كلٌ لإثبات قدمه في عصر الثقافات والعلم والتقنيات.
ويقول الباحث بأن الأمر يعد مستحيلاً، ولكن الاعتراف به ومحاولة اختراقه أمران لا بد منهما، وإلا كان البديل الرضوخ للواقع بكل أبعاد تخلفه، ومزيدا من التقهقر والتروي والعقود في النفق المظلم، فالآمال والشعارات والتطلعات بدت سرباً وهوت وتلاشت بريقها. أنظمة وشعارات ومواطن مسلوب الإرادة ومثقفون معرضون عن دورهم في الدعوة إلى الحق والإصلاح... كل ذلك يتناوله الباحث من خلال دراسة موضوعية للوصول إلى نقطة عبور من المعاشر العربي وتداعياته السلبية، إلى واقع عربي مشرق يكون للمواطن دور وللمثقف دور، وأولاً وقبل شيء للسلطة دور فيه لا عليه، وذلك من خلال وعي يقلع التخلف، وعلى حد عبارة الباحث، حينها يكون هناك تقابل ثقوب وفتحات في النفق المظلم الذي يستكين في جنباته الواقع العربي للنفاذ إلى المدى العالمي ككيان له إسهاماته.
