نقد المناهج المعاصرة لدراسة التراث الفلسفي العربي الإسلامي يتضمن هذا الكتاب تناولاً مفصلاً نقدياً لعدة مناهج شائعة عند الكثير من الدارسين للتراث الفلسفي والفكري العربي الإسلامي في الماضي وفي الحاضر وهي:
المنهج الماركساوي عند كلٍ من طيب تيزيني وحسين مروة، وقد آثار هذا المنهج قبولاً حيناً ونقداً مريراً حيناً آخر، بل أن نقد هذا المنهج كما طبقه حسين مروة وتيزيني، آثار نقداً وتعديلاً ورفضاً أحياناً من قبل الباحثين العرب الماركسيين أنفسهم، يقوم على مخالفتهما لأسس المنهج الجدلي التاريخي وسماته ولأرخته هو نفسه عبر أعلام في الشرق والغرب لتاريخ الفلسفة، ومن تاريخ الفلسفة العربية نفسها.
وقد جاء البحث في مقدمة وخمسة فصول ألحقت بالمصادر والمراجع، وقد توزعت الفصول وفق ما يلي:
-الفصل الأول: "نقد المدرسة الماركساوية (طيب تيزيني وحسين مروة).
-الفصل الثاني: "نقد المنهج الأبستمولوجي (المدرسة المغربية لمحمد عابد الجابري).
-الفصل الثالث: "عرض مفصل لكتاب جورج طرابيشي (نقد نقد العقل العربي)".
-الفصل الرابع: "نقد الخطاب الإسلامي اليساري (حسن حنفي نموذجاً).
-الفصل الخامس: "الإستشراق القديم والجديد".
