في هذا الكتاب نريد التحدث عن الحرب النفسية، مفهومها وأهميتها وتقنياتها وأهدافها، ومن بين الأساليب المتبعة في مجال الحرب النفسية هي عميلة غسيل الدماغ لأسرى الحروب والسجناء من أجل تغيير معتقداتهم وأفكارهم حتى إذا ما عاد الأسرى إلى بيوتهم فإنهم يعملون على نشر الروح الإنهزامية التي وصلت إليها حالتهم من جراء ما تعرضوا له أثناء الأسر أو الحجز من تعذيب، أو على الأقل التأثر من خلال الدخول في حسابات بشكل من الأشكال، وتتضح ملامح هذه الحرب بوضوح هذه الأيام في المعتقلات والسجون بإشكال منها الإهمال الصحي وإنتشار الأمراض وقلة الطعام وسوء نوعيته وقلة كميته وكذلك في التنقلات الفجائية والتي تهدف إلى زعزعة الأمن النفسي عند السجناء والمعتقلين، وغيرها من أساليب قتل الروح المعنوية.
من هنا، فمفهوم غسيل الدماغ هو عملية منظمة يستخدمها العدو لخلق النقيض النفسي والعقلي وتفعيله عند السجناء والمعتقلين وذلك بهدف تحويل إهتماماتهم الوطنية والدينية إلى دنيوية، خصوصاً عندما يقارن المعتقل نفسه بالآخرين فيصاب بالغصة إذا لم يكن الندم (في مرحلة متقدمة).
