في إطار العمل على إحياء تراث العلماء المسلمين "اللبنانيين" المنسوبين إلى طرابلس، وبيروت، وصيدا، وصور، وبعلبك، ويونين، بعد أن تعاقب عليها الزمن دون أن يكترث بها أحد من أبناء هذه المدن، الثغور، المرابطة على ساحل الشام. وهذا العمل الموسوعي هو متمم لعمل المؤلف الموسوعي الضخم الذي أصدره بعنوان"موسوعة علماء المسلمين في تاريخ لبنان الإسلامي". ومن خلال هذا الكتاب يقدم المؤلف للقارئ وللمكتبة العربية والإسلامية الحافظ اليونيني البعلبكي "محي الدين عبد القادر بن علي بن محمد" 682-747هـ، وهو يعود بنسبه إلى الفترة النبوية المطهرة، من أحفاد السيدة فاطمة بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فهو إذن من سلالة السادة الأشراف، وهو من القلة من الأعلام "اللبنانيين" الذين وصل نسبهم كاملا، وتم الوقوف على أبنائه وأحفاده وذراريه. كان إماماً، محدّثاً، بكل علم ورد ذكره في المخطوط، مع ذكر نبذة يسيرة من سيرته، مع ضبط النص وتخريجٍ للأحاديث، وشرحٍ لألفاظها، مع بيان درجته من الصحة والصنف، مرفقاً ذلك بأقوالٍ لأصحاب البوح والتعديل في الأسانيد.
