وهكذا انجزت هذه الدراسة المركزة بعد الإطلاع على المتاح من الأدبيات ذات العلاقة، والإستفادة من الخبرة الميدانية في المؤسسات الأكاديمية والتربوية، تطلب ذلك تحديد أهداف الدراسة وأهميتها ومشكلتها ومنهجها والتعريف بالمفاهيم الواردة فيها، فضلاً عن إستعراض ومناقشة النظريات ذات العلاقة.
هذا فضلاً عن إيلاء مراحل اللعب وعلاقته بتعلم الأطفال وأهميته، ودور العوامل المؤثرة على تعلمهم المتعلقة بالطفل نفسه، والمنهج والمؤسسة والدور التطبيقي في ذلك وأنواع اللعب، هذا إلى جانب دراسة الألعاب حسب أنواعها (حسب إحدى عشرة معيار)، دون تجاوز الألعاب الإلكترونية.
