ليس مستغرباً أن تتواصل سحائب العشر في سماء الجزيرة العربية تسحُّ خيراً وجنى، من عهد امرئ القيس إلى أيام عبد الله باشراحيل، بل المستغرب ألا يكون ذلك. ولكل عصر في الجزيرة، كما في سائر أقاليم الأرض، طابعه الأدبي الخاص، وشعرائه، ولكل من هؤلاء الشعراء خصائص يتميز بها، ومستوى محدد في جمالية الصياغة الفنية، كما هو معروف. أبرز ما يلفت القارئ في قصائد عبد الله باشراحيل هذه موضوعاتها التي تدور على طموح الشعر إلى عالك عادل طاهر بريء تزول فيه الحدود والسدود وعصبية الأعراف والقوميات، وتتلاقى الخصوصيات وتتعاون عوضاً من أن تتباعد وتتنافر.
على هذا الصعيد، ترى الشاعر باشراحيل يغتسل بوهج الحياة. ويشرب من أنهارها ، وينتشي بعطر أزهارها وغناء أطيارها، وفي الوقت ذاته، يستوعب الجانب الخير ومن التراث الإنساني الشامل وتنمو أحلامه وأشواقه على جذور هذا التراث، فيمتلئ وجدانه بجملة المعاني الإنسانية قدر ما يمتلئ بوطنه وخصائصه ومزاياه، فإذا بالانتماء القومي في إحساسه وفكره وشعره لا يعارض الانتماء الإنساني، بل ينبع منه ويكون ملمحاً من ملامحه، ولا معنى للانتماء القومي خارج حدود الانتماء الإنساني الشامل الذي يثبت أن سعادة الإنسان لا تكتمل، إلا بسعادة الآخرين أياً كانوا وحيث كانوا.
وفي هذا المجال لا يلمس باشراحيل فكرته متحفظاً أو خجولا، بل بجرأة المؤمن بسمو الفكرة التي تدعو إليها المبادئ الروحية والأخلاقية والاجتماعية النابعة من المعين الإنساني الصافي.
السيف قد صار بعد الغدر منثلما/ونزف من يا سؤالي لم يعد ندما؟، ما أعدل النار تكوينا سواسية/والظلم لما يزل غضاً وما هر ما، ماذا نقول لدهر وهو يحقرنا/يظننا من ذوات الأربع الغنما، يستسلم الأمل البسام في وجل/قد صار بعد زمان النصر منهزماً، ران السكون ولفّ الصمت أنفسنا/كل يغني وليلى كانت النغما.
