"أنطوان دوسانت" كاتب وطيار فرنسي، ولد في مدينة ليون، وتلقى العلم في جامعة فريبورغ، التحق بالقوات الفرنسية سنة 1921، وأصبح ربان طائرة تجارية سنة 1926. التحق مرة أخرى، خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية، بالقوات الجوية الفرنسية، فأسقطت طائرته، وهرب إلى الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، انضم إلى القوات الفرنسية الحرة، وفي إحدى الرحلات الجوية، فقدت طائرته، ولم يعثر عليها. له مؤلفات أشاد فيها بالأمانة والشرف والشجاعة وبروابط التضامن بين البشر منها: "بريد الجنوب" 1929، "الطيران الليلي"، و"الأمير الصغير" (1944) وهي الرواية التي بين يدينا نصها مترجم للغة العربية إلى جانب نصها باللغة الفرنسية.
