فلما كان الدعاء هو العبادة كما اخبر الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم بذلك وهو سلاح المؤمن.. فلقد من الله على المؤلف بحضور صلاة العصر بجامع اللحيدان بحي الملك فيصل وبعد انقضاء الصلاة كان فضيلة الشيخ خالد الشارخ حفظه الله يقرأ من كتاب رياض الصالحين ثم يقوم حفظه الله بشرحة بأسلوبه الشيق والسهل.. فلما وصل الى كتاب الدعوات وقام بشرحه وفي نهاية الباب اوصى الجميع بحفظ هذه الادعية الجامعة النافعة وتعليمها وتحفيظها للابناء والاهل.. ومن هذا المنطلق رأى المؤلف ان يجمع هذه الادعية المذكورة في كتاب صغير يسهل حمله وبالتالي يسهل على من يرد حفظه بكل يسر وسهولة تحت عنوان (دعوات الفالحين من كتاب رياض الصالحين).
