ومصنف للكتاب هو محمد بن بير علي بن إسكندر البركوي، أو البركلي الرومي، محيي الدين... عالم بالعربية، نحواً وصرفاً، له إشتغال بالفرائض ومعرفة التجويد، تركي الأصل والمنشأ، من أهل قصبة "بالي كسرى" كان مدرساً في قصبة "بركي" فنسب إليها.
