في هذا الكتاب خمس وعشرون دراسة ومقالة تتناول شعر عرار والبنية الإيقاعية فيه، ومعجمه اللفظي. ولم ينس المتحدثون أن يقارنوا شعره بشعر حافظ جميل، الشاعر العراقي الرقيق، وبشعر الشاعر الروسي نيكراسوف. وتتناول أيضاً عرار قاصاً وقصصه في حقيقتها ليست قصصاً فنية، فهي حكايات وخواطر لقد أطال المتحدثون القول في عرار شاعراً وناثراً، ولم ينسوه مترجماً. إن القارئ يجد في هذا الكتاب تنوعاً في الفكر، والرأي، والمستوى، والموضوعات، وبهذا تقدم وزارة الثقافة ومؤسسة شومان له كتاباً يثري معرفته بعرار الشاعر وعرار الإنسان.
يجمع هذا الإصدار، بين دفتيه، أعمال ندوة موسعة عقدت في منتدى عبد الحميد شومان الثقافي يومي الرابع والخامس من كانون الأول 1999، وذلك بمناسبة مرور مئة عام على ولادة شاعر الأردن مصطفى وهبي التل (عرار).
وقد شارك في الندوة، التي عقدت بالتعاون ما بين وزارة الثقافة ومؤسسة عبد الحميد شومان، نخبة من الأساتذة الباحثين والنقاد والأدباء من الأردن والعراق وسوريا، الذين أسهموا في إضاءة جوانب متعددة من مسيرة عرار الأدبية والسياسية، فضلاً عن مسيرة حياته الشخصية وأثرها على إبداعاته الشعرية.
ولعل المتتبع لحياة عرار يلمس ذلك التنوع الثر في ينابيعه الأدبية، إضافة إلى حياته المشحونة بالتجارب والأحداث، على الرغم من قصرها، فضلاً عن انحيازه التام للبسطاء والمعذبين.
ومن المؤمل أن يضيف هذا الإصدار إضاءة جديدة على حياة هذا الشاعر من جوانب شتى، سيما وأن حياته تعكس مرحلة مهمة من تاريخ الأردن السياسي والاجتماعي فضلاً عن التحولات العميقة في الامتداد العربي المجاور.
