نقل الضاحية الجنوبية معه إلى الجامعة الأميركية، تجرأ على المقامات الكبيرة، تطلع إلى ثورة على مقاسه. أتقن اللعبة ليكون خارجها فيما بعد. خطا الخطوة التي ليست بالنسبة إلى سواه إلا قفزة في المكان الخطر.
رامي على طريق الرفض، خرج إلى المجهول، ارتمى في حضن المرأة، ثار على العادات والتقاليد والمعتقدات. بات في مواجهة محطاته الماضية نفسها. جديد إلى آخر الحدود، مختلف بالكامل.
لم تطقه الحرية التي لامس أقصاها، ولا الأفكار التي تمسك بأكثرها جرأة، ولا القيم التي حملها، ولا الحب الذي امتلكه، ولا البرية التي لجأ إليها أياماً وأسابيع. حتى الموت لفظه بعد الإنتحار. أميركا، عدوته السابقة وحبيبته اللاحقة، لم تطقه فطردته من أرضها. عاد إلى الوطن ليختار الثورة من جديد.
ثورات رامي علّيق المتعددة هي في الحقيقة ثورة واحدة، هو نفسه لا يعرف سرها ولا المكان الذي ستودي به إليه. أصبح الآن أكثر نضجاً، لكنه لا يزال حراً، أو يحاول.
