لرسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) أحاديث عديدة في مكانة إمام المؤمنين "علي بن أبي طالب" (رضي الله عنه) وفي هذا الكتاب الموسوم بـ "كلام سيد المرسلين في علي أميرالمؤمنين". يضم الميرزا ماجد زين الدين بين يدي القارئ جملة من أحاديث رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) الشريفة في ولاية أمير المؤمنين وإسلامه، وعلمه وإيمانه، ومنزلته وفضائله، ومناقبه وشمائله. فقد تم انتقاء جميع أحاديث الكتاب من مصادر أهل العامة والجماعة؛ والهدف منها إبراز منزلة امير المؤمنين الشريفة ومكانته العظيمة من رسول الله عليه الصلاة والسلام.
ومن الأحاديث التي ضمها الكتاب نذكر: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم): "من آذاني في أهلي فقد أذى الله"، وحديث ابن عباس عن الرسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم): "أنا مدينة العلم وعلي بابها، فمن أراد العلم فليأت الباب" وهكذا يشتمل الكتاب على احاديث وردت عن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) انتقاها المؤلف من مصادر عديدة مثل: الفيروز آبادي في فضائل الخمسة من الصحاح السنة، والحافظ القندوري الحنفي في ينابيع المودة، والطبري الشافعي في تاريخ الطبري في جزئه الأول... إلى آخر ذلك من مصادر موثوقة لدى الفريقين...
