يأتي هذا الكتاب كمشروع شخصي يعني لي الكثير، وهو ذو شقين؛ الأول، وهو أصل الكتاب، يرتكز على ورقة بحثية قدمتها أثناء مؤتمر الجنوب الثاني عن وسائل الإتصال والإعلام، في شهر شباط 2015 في معهد العلوم الإجتماعية، الفرع الخامس.
أما الشق الثاني، فيرتكز على الإهتمام الشخصي والولع بكل ما له علاقة بالتكنولوجيا والإعلام والتواصل، ففي بعض الأحيان يبتعد مضمون الكتاب عن علم الإجتماع ليغوص بتفاصيل تكنولوجية بحتة أو نقدية إعلامية خالصة، فينتقل التدوين عندها من الإختصاص إلى الإهتمام بقضايا الإعلام والتواصل.
ولا يسعني القول إلا أن هذا الكتاب هو مشروع مرتكز على البحث في ما أحب، وكثيرمن الأمثلة والمعلومات الموجودة هنا هي أولاً، قابلة للتغير في أي لحظة، نظراً للتحول السريع الذي يميز وسائل الإتصال والتواصل الحديثة؛ وهي ثانياً: نتاج سنوات طويلة من الإستهلاك الإعلامي والرقمي، بحيث استطعت أن أبيّن من خلال هذه الصفحات، أن لا شيء نهتم به في حياتنا يذهب سدىً، إن جُمع وصُنِّف وبوِّب وقُدِّم لخدمة الآخرين.
