أهمية هذه القضية – أي فصل الدين عن تسلط السلطات التنفيذية – أنها قضية لم يحسن كثير من الناس حتى اليوم فهمها، وإختلط فيه الأمر على جمهور الأمة، وعلى كثير من المثقفين. لذلك فإن المهم أن ندرك أن إبعاد شئؤن الدعوة والتعليم والتربية الدينية والثقافية عن متناول يد السلطة التنفيذية ( رجال الحكم )، وعن برامجها الحياتية السياسية، وعن المصالح التي لا بد أن توليها الأولوية، وأن تنحاز إليها، وإن هذا الكف والإبعاد والفصل ليس فصلاُ للدين عن الدولة، أو عن السياسة، ولكنه إبعاد وفصل وكف ليد رجال السلطة التنفيذية عن الإساءة إلى الدين والقيم والقداسة، تهميشاً أو توظيف تشويه وإستغلال، مدخلاً إلى الإستبداد، وبالتالي إلى الفساد والإفساد، فيكون الكف هو خدمة للأمة والدولة، وحفظاً للدين والعقائد والقداسة عن الإلغاء أوالتهميش أو التوظيف لخدمة إستبداد السلطة ورجالها، تمكيناً لمصالحها ومصالح الفئات التي تنحاز إليها. إن سلطة الحكم التنفيذية – ببساطة – ليست هي الدولة، بل هي إحدى مؤسسات نظام الحكم في الدولة، وإن الأمة والشعب هما الأساس والعنصر الأهم في توجيه السياسة العامة، وفي تكوين الدولة، ومن خيارهم وحدهم تستمد شرعية الحكام
