"بالنقطة الحمراء تحت عينه اليسرى" ديوان شعري يضم ما يزيد عن خمسة وثلاثون قصيدة للشاعرة العراقية "منال الشيخ". وفي هذا العمل قصائد تجمع فيها الشاعرة البداية والنهاية "لُقيهُ البدء" وما بين نقطة البدء والخاتمة حياة تكتب عنها "منال الشيخ" نتلمس فيها وجع العراقي، قصائد تمتلك دلالات متوالدة قادرة على افتضاض الرؤى من جمال الوجع، نبحر في عوالمها أكثر لنجد وجوهاً متعددة وسؤال وحيد لماذا الحروب؟
تقول الشاعرة في قصيدة بعنوان [ V.I.P] ، "أنا منال الشيخ ، إبنة الحروب والبلد الطيوب ، أختصرُ قبيلتي بأربع أصابع تعرف كيف تدكُّ وكرَ نملٍ هائج ، وتشعل أمنيتي الملفوفة على فتيل دمعة ، دون أن أوقظ ضمائر غُزاتي ، دون أن أغترب مع غفرانٍ لن يتمّ ، دون أن أمسح مؤخرات أبنائي بحجارةٍ من أوهام عربية (...)".
