كما ناقش الكتاب مفهوم السلام لدى العقائد الدينية القديمة والرسالات السماوية الكبرى فضلاً عن العلاقة بين مفهوم السلام والمفاهيم الفكرية المعاصرة كمفهوم الديمقراطية، حقوق الإنسان، الإرهاب، العولمة، المجتمع المدني، المصالحة والتنمية المستدامة ومن ثم يحاول الكتاب التطرق إلى مفهوم فض النزاع بإعتباره مكملاً لموضوع السلام والطرق المعتمدة في فض النزاعات وينتهي بأهم التحديات التي يواجهها الناشطون في هذا المجال سواء كانوا باحثين، مدربين أو متدربين، وأخيراً كلنا أمل أن يكون هذا الكتاب مصدراً مضافاً للمكتبة العربية ومن الله التوفيق.
