"وطويت ذاكرتي وسامرت الصحاب، وغرقت في دنيا من الأوهام تجري كالسحاب، وتراقصت قدماي أطربني الغناء، وتطلعت عيناي ناغيت الزهور، وطفت نفسي للتناسي والرحيل، وبعدت تأخذني الخطى عبر الدروب، وتمر بلي الأيام عاماً بعد عام، حتى تعبت من التجول والرواح، وتجرّني الأحلام يأخذني الخيال، وتهيج بي الذكرى إلى تلك الظلال وغروب شمس حين تكتنف الأصيل وتسابق الأمواج في مرح تراكض كالصغار، فزع الطيور، وهبّةُ الأنسام أصوات الهديل، عند الأماسي في الغروب، قرب الشواطئ والنخل، وتذكر الضحكات في تلك المقاهي والحديث، سأظل أحلم غير أني عارف حق اليقين قد تشرق الأيام حيناً في ابتهاج، تذكي أريجاً تورق الأِشجار تزهر في اخضرار، تتغير الأحوال من حال لحال، كل يؤول لا بد يوماً للزوال".
