لقد كان حادث الإسراء والمعراج حدثاً متفرداً في وسيلته ومرئياته. فأما وسيلته: فلم يكن العرب يسمع بمثلها. إنهم يعرفون ركوب الجمال، والبغال والخيول والحمير، والسفن في البحر، فأما الطيران والسبح في الفضاء فلا يعرفونه. ولم تكن البشرية يوم تخطى الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم السماوات وما فوقهن قد عرفت السفر في الفضاء أو السياحة فيهن ثم هو حدث متفرد في مرائيه، ما جسّم فيها الثواب، وما جسّم العقاب. وهو حدث متفرد في صحبة جبرائيل وميكائيل للنبي الكريم، يقودان البراق ويسوقانه، ويدل جبريل النبي الأكرم على الأشياء، ويشرحها له، وهو حدث متفرد في إثبات أن دين محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم دين الفطرة، حين شرب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اللبن ولم يشرب غيره، وحدث متميز فيما رآه في السماء واحدة واحدة، وما رآه مما فوق السماوات من رسل وصور، وما فرض عليه من فرائض، وكلها إشارات إلى الكمال والشمول والالتحام بالكون في شريعة الإسلام.
إن تلك المعجزات هي معالم على طريق الأمة الإسلامية تهديها إلى الحق، وتدلها على الرشد، وتطمئنها إلى غدها، كما طمأنت الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه رضي الله عنهم إلى غيرهم. وفي هذا الكتاب يسلط المؤلف الضوء على تلك المعجزة مبيناً ما قيل فيها وحولها، مسترشداً بالآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية في قطعية ثبوتها، وموضحاً للقارئ تفاصيلها والحكم المستقاة منها.
