لقد كانت المرأة الشغل الشاغل للناس جميعاً على اختلاف مستوياتهم منذ أقدم العصور، فكان موضوعها بين اخذ ورد ومد وجذر فتارة يكون التعصب لها حتى أن لا حياة من دونها، وتارة "يكون الغضب عليها، حتى ساد الاعتقاد بين الناس أنها شر لا بد منه. ومهما يكن سيظل موضوع المرأة عنواناً هاماً، لكل عصر من العصور، كيف لا وهي تشكل نصف المجتمع إن لم يكن أكثر، لهذا السبب عني المؤلف بوضع هذه الدراسة التي يبين فيها نظرة الإسلام للمرأة، ومدى الشوط الذي سبق إليه الإسلام النظم الأرضية والقوانين الوضعية، بما قدمه من سعادة في الحياة الأسروية، ومن المواضيع التي تتطرق إليها المؤلف في دراسته نذكر الخطبة، وأحكامها، المهر، حكم الزواج وأغراضه وشروطه، وآثاره، انحلال الزواج، وأنواع الطلاق، وحكم طلاق كل من المكره والسكران، الهازل... نشوز الزوج، اللعان، الايلاء... العدة وأقسامها وأحكامها، نكاح المحلل، الحجاب، عورة المرأة، حكم الحيض إلى غير ذلك من المواضيع الهامة والتي تتعلق بفقه المرأة المسلمة، وقد حرص المؤلف كل الحرص على ألا يخرج في كتابه عن فقه المذاهب الأربعة، متوخياً تسهيل العبارة، معتمداً في تلك الأحكام على القرآن الكريم والسنة المطهرة، وهدف المؤلف من كتابه هذا تفقيه المرأة المسلمة في دينها وتدريسها حقوقها وواجباتها كمسلمة وزوجة وأم، وكذلك بيان الحقيقة الناصعة التي جاء بها الإسلام والتي رفع بها مكانة المرأة المسلمة.
