في سلسلة تاريخ ما أغفله التأريخ رأى الكاتب أن يعرّف القارئ الكريم بما حدث مع قبيلة المغاربة والقبائل التي انضموا إليها وانضووا تحت لوائها فيما كان يعرف بدور المغاربة برئاسة الشيخ صالح باشا لطيوش وتحت قيادة السادة السنوسية، بدءاً من السيد أحمد الشريف السنوسي نائب خليفة المسلمين بشمال أفريقيا وانتهاءً بخليفته وابن عمه السيد محمد إدريس المهدي السنوسي. ثم بعد أن هاجر السيد إدريس إلى مصر، وكلّ عنه ابن عمه السيد صفي الدين السنوسي في قيادة المقاومة ضد القوات الإيطالية الغاشمة، ولذلك حاربت الأدوار ابتداءً من دور سيدي عمر المختار في الجبل الأخضر إلى دور صالح باشا لطويش في المنطقة الغربية تحت القيادة السنوسية الموحدة.
ومنطقة المغاربة، والقبائل التي حذت حذوها في الجهاد، وجمعت بينهم أواصر وشيجة من النسب والعقيدة الدينية، لتشمل مساحة شاسعة من بنغازي شرقاً إلى سرت غرباً ومن الزويتينة شمالاً إلى الكفرة جنوباً.
