إن الله سبحانه وتعالى قد تكفَّل بحفظ الشريعة المُحمدية التي خَتَمَ بها الشرائع ونسخها، فصان كتابه المنزل عن التحريفِ والتبديل، وهيَّأ لسُنة الحبيب المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم مَنْ قام بحفظها وروايتها ونشرها، وجمعها وتدوينها وشرحها، وحمايتها من الشوائب والأكاذيب، والدِّفاع عنها جيلاً بعد جيل على تعاقُب الأيام والسنين، (إنا نحن نزلنا الذكر وإنا له لحفظون) [الحجر: 9].
وقد كان من جليل ما قدَّمه علماء الأُمَّة في مضمار حفظ السنَّة ذلك المنهج الذي تُفاخر به الأُمَّة الإسلامية أُمم العالم قديمها ومعاصرها - الذي اعتُمِد في نقل الأخبار وتدقيق رواياتها وتمحيصها، لتمييز صحيحِ الحديثِ من ضعيفِه، ومقبولِه من مردودهِ.
وكان (الإعتبار) أحد أهم قواعد المنهج الضابطةِ الناظمةِ لقواعد علوم الحديث كونَه يتفَّرع منه عددٌ كبير من الأنواع، وعلى رأسها معرفة تفرُّد الرَّاوي من عدمه، وأمرٌ يتوقَّف عليه في كثير من الأحيان إكتشافُ علل الأحاديث والروايات.
ولأهمية (الإعتبار) في علوم الحديث قامت الباحثة (شمَّاءُ الأَسْمر) بالتصدي لهذا الموضوع محاولةً تحرير منهج المحدثين العلمي في الإستقراء وتتبُّع الطرق، حيث جمعت مادة البحث من مصادر علوم الحديث وكتبه محلِّلةً ومناقشةً ومؤصلةً، ثم ثنَت العَنان بعد ذلك نحو بعض كتب الرواية مبيِّنة وموضِّحة من خلال تطبيقات الأئمة رضوان الله عليهم، فقدَّمت بذلك سِفراً نفيساً دالاً على تمكُّنٍ بهذا العلم ومعرفةٍ بدقائقه.
