ثمة انحياز واضح للتجريب في مجموعة أحمد القاضي القصصية (ما لم أقله) وهي امتداد لخياره السردي منذ مجموعته الأولى (الريح وظل الأشياء)، إذ المجموعتان تنتميان لسياق لم يثبت حضوره الفاعل بعد في منجزنا المحلي. فما ينتج في ذلك السياق يمكن أن يعد خروجاً بالنسبة لركامات من الوعظ الاجتماعي.
تقع قصص المجموعة تحت عنوانين فرعيين: (رموز) و(لست وحدي) وهو مشابه لما فعل في مجموعته الأولى إذ تقع قصصهما تحت عنوانين أيضاً: (وجوه) و(يختفي يختفي)، ولا يبدو أن ثمة فروقات شاسعة بين المجموعتين إذ القاضي ما زال يؤثث بكثير من الأناة لنصه القصصي.
في قصصه لا يستعير القاضي شخوصه من الخارج فالذات بكل حمولاتها تكون شخصيته القصصية، في النظرة إلى المجتمع مثلاً، وفي قراءة الواقع السياسي، وفي مقاربة موضوع كالفقر، وحتى في رؤيته لحدث مفصلي كما في الانتخابات البلدية أو في ضغوط الشركات الأجنبية حد تجفيف البحر وبيعه ... إلخ، كل ذلك يحضر من منظار ذاتي يبني رؤيته من موقع محدد.
وفي ملاحظة لغته القصصية نلحظ قصص المجموعة تميل للقصر وهو ما تعوض عنه الحكاية بالتكثيف اللغوي وبالإيحاء الرمزي مما يفتح النص للتأويل، أو في مساحة البياض المتروكة للقارئ أحياناً، كما تميل بذلك بنية الحدث للمشهدية إذ هي تصوير للحظة أكثر من كونها قراءة متأنية لها مما يوحد صوت الراوي والشخصية معاً.
