كتابٌ شاملٌ في موضوعه كما يدل عليه عنوانه، تناول فيه مؤلفاه النواحي الجغرافية لكل قارة على حدتها، فتحدثا عن جغرافيتها من الجوانب الطبيعية والبشرية والاقتصادية، وذكرا كل ما ينطوي تحت هذه الجغرافيات من تفريعاتٍ ضرورية للبحث. وتناولا الخصائص الإقليمية لكل قارة من القارات الخمس وتحدثا عن مدى تأثير هذه الخصائص في الوحدات السياسية داخل كل قارة، وذلك بهدف التعريف العام بها. الكتاب في سبعة أبواب، اندرج تحت كل بابٍ فصول محددة بحسب ما تقتضي الدراسة. فالباب الأول لقارة أوربا؛ جنوبها؛ فغربها؛ فشمالها؛ فوسطها. والباب الثاني لقارة آسيا؛ جنوبها الغربي، فجنوبها، فجنوبها الشرقي، فشرقها. والباب الثالث لقارة إفريقيا؛ القسم الاستوائي منها، فشرقها، فغربها، فجنوبها. والباب الرابع لقارة أمريكا الشمالية؛ الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، فكندا، فالمكسيك، والباب الخامس لقارة أمريكا الوسطى، وتحدث فيها عن تسع دول. والباب السادس لقارة أمريكا الجنوبية، توقف فيه عند إحدى عشرة دولة. والباب السابع لقارة أوقيانوسيا؛ أستراليا، ونيوزيلندة،وأهم مجموعات جزرها، وهي عشرون مجموعة. والكتاب أخيراً مزودٌ بالمصورات التفصيلية الهامة، والأشكال الإيضاحية في ختامه، بلغ عددها مئةً وخمسين مصوراً وشكلاً، وخصص لها فهرست لتسهيل الرجوع إليها في أماكنها من الكتاب.
