تحت عنوان "ومما رزقناهم ينفقون" يقدم المؤلف حبيب بن أحمد الجعفر دراسة في مفهوم الإنفاق عموماً، ثم التركيز على مفهوم وسعة الإنفاق الوارد في الآية المباركة "الذين يؤمنون بالغيب ويقيمون الصلاة ومما رزقناهم ينفقون" وذلك من خلال تتبع المؤلف لآراء جملة من أهل الإختصاص في تفاسيرهم التي تعرضت لهذه الآية الكريمة، وإيراد جملة من المصاديق الواردة في القرآن الكريم للإنفاق بمفهومه الواسع، واستخدام لمنهج البحث العلمي النظري النقلي، لجمع آراء جملة من المفسرين للآية محل البحث. أما عن هدف الدراسة فهو: التأكيد على سعة مفهوم الإنفاق، وتعزيز الإنفاق في سلوك الفرد، والتأكيد على أهمية الإنفاق في حركة المجتمع من خلال النماذج التي يستعرضها الكتاب وهي (عشرة) نماذج تضمنتها صفحات القرآن الكريم لعدد من الأولياء والصالحين من خارج دائرة النبوة، والغاية النهائية للمؤلف أن تتحول نماذج الإنفاق في القرآن الكريم إلى مصدر إلهام لحركة الفرد والمجتمع.
وعلى هذا، يجمع الكتاب روايات تتحدث عن الإنفاق من الأرزاق المادية، والأرزاق المعنوية، ثم نماذج مستقاة من تاريخ الأديان ومنهم: فدائي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم (الإمام علي رضي الله عنه ليلة المبيت) ، وذو القرنين، والخضر عليه السلام معلم الرشد، ولقمان الحكيم، وامرأة فرعون، وهابيل بن آدم عليه السلام، ويوشع بن نون وكالب بن يوفنا من أتباع موسى عليه السلام، وآصف بن برخيا ... وآخرون.
