ما يميز هذا الكتاب أن المؤلف يتبع فيه أسلوب مخاطبة القارئ الذي يعقد معه علاقة صداقة منذ أولى صفحات الكتاب، يسأله وفي نفس الوقت يتصور نفسه محله في الإجابة "ربما ستشعر بكلامي ثقيلاً على قلبك، فأنا سأتكلم وكأنك صديقي العزيز، وإن وجدت لي سبعين عذراً عندما أخطئ، فإنني أتقدم منك بالشكر المسبق..."، بعد ذلك يلخص لك المؤلف قراءته لمعظم كتب وبرامج التحفيز ويقدم قراءته النقدية لها وما يتوقع من القارئ لكتابه أيضاً "ولكي أكون منصفاً في هذا الكتاب، وأختصر عليك التعليق الهادم، والشتم لما سوف أكتب؛ فإن سرد الكتاب سيكون ساخراً بطبيعته نوعاً ما لتجنب الملل والكلل، لأن هذا ما صرت أشعر به عند قراءة هذا النوع من الكتب. ولكنني سأكون جادّاً وحادّاً وأفيدكم ببعض "الحِكم" و"العِبَر" و"الدروس" التي اطلعت عليها عبر الزمن من هذه الكتب. فهذا الكتاب ليس من منظور مدرب ولا دكتور في التنمية البشرية ولا كاتب بل من منظور قارئ يحلم بالنجاح...".
