شوقي محمد أبو خليل، كاتب وباحث فلسطيني، له العديد من المؤلفات من أشهرها كتابه (الإسلام في قفص الاتهام)، ولد في بيسان بفلسطين، ورحل مع أسرته إلى دمشق فتعلم بها، إجازة في التاريخ من جامعتها. دكتوراه من أكاديمية العلوم في أذربيجان.
وظائفه: أستاذ ومدير في الثانويات، موجه اختصاصي في وزارة التربية، عضو في قسم المناهج والكتب، مسؤول في دائرة الامتحانات بها، أستاذ الحضارة الإسلامية والاستشراق في كلية الدعوة شوقي محمد أبو خليل، كاتب وباحث فلسطيني، له العديد من المؤلفات من أشهرها كتابه (الإسلام في قفص الاتهام)، ولد في بيسان بفلسطين، ورحل مع أسرته إلى دمشق فتعلم بها، إجازة في التاريخ من جامعتها. دكتوراه من أكاديمية العلوم في أذربيجان.

Book Description
يسجل هذا الكتاب لقاءات مؤلفه مع أحد المستشرقين، ومحاورته معه في موضوعات أساسية من الدين.
ينقسم الكتاب إلى مقدمةٍ ولقاءات، أما المقدمة فتتضمن أنواع الحوار الإسلامي وركائزه ضمن الجماعة الإسلامية الواحدة، وبينها وبين العلمانيين، ثم أهل الكتاب. ويختم المقدمة بوثائق من حوارات تاريخية.
وأما لقاءات المؤلف مع المستشرق فكانت في ثماني جلسات، تناول الحوار فيها عدداً من المواضيع المهمة؛ الحوار الإسلامي/المسيحي، آفاق الإسلام في أوربة، الوثنية والمسيحية، ودخول الأولى على الأخيرة، والإعجاز في القرآن الكريم بأنواعه، والحوار والمستشرقون، والتبشير وما يحجز بين المسلمين والمسيحيين والهوية الإسلامية ضمن العروبة.
كان كل لقاء يبدأ بحديث المؤلف وما يقدمه من أفكار وإدلاءات، وفي آخر الحديث يجيب المستشرق ثم يعود نفسه فيعقب في جلسةٍ أخرى.
وفي اللقاء الأخير، قدم المستشرق إجابات أخرى وموضوعات حول محدودية العقل، وألوهية المسيح وطفولته، وسقوط آدم، واصطلاحي (كلمة الله) و(روح الله)، وتاريخ الفكر المسيحي.
وختم المؤلف كتابه في الرد على ما جاء في اللقاء الأخير، والإشارة إلى أشياء لم يجب عنها المستشرق.
