الكتاب الذي بين يديك يعد محاولة للتوافر على قراءة واعية لأفكار إخوان الصفا، تنطلق من فرضية رئيسة مفادها، أن إخوان الصفا أفادوا من الفلسفة اليونانية في معالجاتهم الفكرية للتحديات الضاغطة التي يعيشونها إلى جانب منهجهم في التلفيق بين الدين والعقل في التعاطي مع التيارات الفكرية -المذهبية في زمانهم، وفي توليد الأفكار في مجال السياسة، والمجتمع، والدولة وأهدافها.
وهنا، لا بد من التذكير بأن حركة إخوان الصفا لا تنحصر أهدافها في الجانب العلمي فقط، بل كانت لهم أهداف ومقاصد سياسية، علاوة على الأهداف العلمية، ومن أبرز هذه الأهداف وأهمها تأسيس دولة (إخوان الصفا وخلان الوفا)، وكانوا يعتقدون أن السبيل إلى تأسيس دولتهم المنشودة إنما يكون عن طريق تربية وإعداد أفراد صالحين يتمثلون تعاليمهم ورؤاهم التي تصب في خدمة هذا الهدف، أي تأسيس الدولة المنشودة.
وكانت لأفكار ومتبنيات هذه الجماعة إشعاعاتها وآثارها في المجالات الفلسفية والأخلاقية والسياسية والاجتماعية، والتي يمكن أن تتلمس تجلياتها وانعكاساتها في المرحلة التي تلت مرحلتهم.
ولا شك أن التوافر على رؤية واعية للأفكار السياسية والاجتماعية لهذه الجماعة والإفادة منها، يشكل خطوة هامة على طريق معالجة التحديات الفكرية التي ترتهن بها المجتمعات الإسلامية، خصوصاً في الظروف التي تلت انتصار الثورة الإسلامية في إيران.
وبشكل عام تمثل هذه الدراسة بما اشتملت عليه من نظرة دقيقة وشاخصة، واستيعاب في المعالجة خطوة جديدة على صعيد التعريف بأفكار هذه الجماعة.
الفكر السياسي الإسلامي من أهم معالم تراثنا الغني بعطاءاته، فقد واكب هذا الفكر الحياة السياسية منذ بداياتها، فقدم للأجيال نتاجات باهرة على مر العصور..
وهذا جزء آخر من سلسلة تحاول استشراف الرؤى السياسية لدى بعض كبار فقهائنا و علمائنا ومفكرينا، وتهدف إلى تقديم معرفة سياسية تراثية تسهم في بلورة نظرية سياسية إسلامية معاصرة، نواجه بها مشكلات المجتمع والدولة.
ويقدم هذا الكتاب دراسة مستوعبة في الفكر السياسي لجماعة من أعلام الفكر، ألا وهم إخوان الصفا (نحو373هـ=983م)، فيعرف بهم وبعصرهم وفكرهم بأسلوب سهل رصين معمق.
