في هذه النصوص يريد الكاتب وأستاذ القانون في جامعة أكس أن بروفانس الفرنسية أن يقول أشياء لا تُحصى: بكلمة موجزة وإعتباطية بعض الشيء نعتقد أن رسالته هي التالية: إن المعرفة القانونية، أي العمل بالقانون، العمل اليومي، مع كل ما يعتمل ذلك من إشكاليات وتبدل في العبارات، إن هذه المعرفة هي أهم من القانون، أهم من النص القانوني، لا سيما عندما يُنظر إليه بصورة جامدة، وضعانية، ناشفة، غير جدلية، غير متحركة، فيما كل صياح ديك يحمل معه تطوراً جديداً؛ ومن هنا يمكن تماماً الإستعانة بالأبستيمولوجيا لفهم القانون، لهذا أيضاً يعتبر الكاتب أن الأبستيمولوجيا القانونية إختصاص قائم وله دور مهم وواعد.
هو يرفض مؤلف القانونيين الذين يرون أن القانون ليس علماً وأن المقارنة الأبستيمولوجية لا تصح بالتالي، هؤلاء يخفون موقفاً سياسياً من القانون، من النظام السياسي القائم، هم يريدون إستخدام القانون لتأبيد الإستغلال فيما يمكن إستخدام القانون لتطوير المجتمع.
هنا في الواقع نُقوِّلهُ ما لم يَقُل: ولكن في الواقع أيضاً، هو يقول هذا، ولكن بلغة أكاديمية وجامعية وفلسفية بارعة، كريستيان أتياس: كتاباته مبدعة، كتبها أستاذ جامعي مُبدع.
