يتضمن هذا الكتاب تحقيق لكتاب الحافظ جلال الدين السيوطي "بسط الكف في إتمام الصف" وقد جمع فيه مؤلفه بين طريقة أهل الحديث ومفتي وفقهاء الشافعية حول موضوع تسوية الصفوف في الصلاة وفيه يسوق أحاديث على عدم جواز الصلاة في صفوف مقطعة وفيه أيضا تنبيه المسلمين إلى وجوب تسوية الصفوف، وكل ما له أثر في حياة الأمة. والكتاب في الأصل هو مخطوطة قديمة عدد صفحاتها (19) تسعة عشر، في عشر لوحات، وهي ضمن مجموعة للسيوطي.
من عناوين الكتاب نذكر: من مظاهر أهمية تسوية الصفوف، هل السيوطي أول من أفرد في موضوع تسوية الصفوف، الربط بين الموضوع والصفوف المقطعة، صلاة المنفرد خلف الصف، ماذا لو خرج رجل من الصف (لعذر)، صفوف الأطفال، أحاديث تدل على التسوية ترغيب وترهيب، قاعدة (الممنوع إذا جاز وجب)، ما هي درجات الجماعة (...) الخ.
