وفي الحديث عن الحرية والديمقراطية في مستقبل الأمة العربية ينقسم الرأي بين متفائل ومتشائم. ولقد راهنا دائماً ونراهن على خصائص هذه الأمة لأنها مبنية على الروح والعقيدة والإيمان والأخلاق؛ بينما البناء التحتي للحضارة الغربية هو العوامل الإقتصادية والإجتماعية والسياسية. فما الذي يجعلنا ننكر مقولة ديغول "الأمة العربية محور سياسة المستقبل"؟ لا سيما أن أي أمة من الأمم تؤسس ذاتها على منظومة متكاملة من الرؤى والآمال والأريج الروحي؛ وأن الإنتقاص من أي عنصر في هذه المنظومة يقودنا إلى الإضطراب والتشكيك.
