في مجموعتها القصصية هذه تسلط الروائية "فدى جريس" الضوء على بعض الظواهر الحياتية –اليومية في قرى الجليل. فجاءت القصص بمجموعها معايشة حثيثة للواقع الفلسطيني وانشغالات الناس البسطاء اليومية وطريقة عيشهم، والأطر التي تحكم عاداتهم وتقاليدهم في الزواج وتربية الأولاد، والعمل وغيرها من مظاهر وهذا ما أكدته الروائية في مقدمة كتابها: "هذه القصص مستوحاة من قريتي في الجليل، شمال فلسطين لكن أملي أن تعكس، مع مفارقات بسيطة، جوانب للحياة في الوطن العربي ككل".
أما على مستوى السرد والشخصيات والحبكة والمعالجة الزمكانية استطاعت الروائية بكفاءة واضحة وغزارة في السرد، أن تصوب الأحداث إلى الفترة الراهنة من خلال تشكيل روائي للحياة، تناسلت معه الحكايات لتمزج ببراعة بين الرواية والحياة، ولتسمي الأشياء باسمائها بعيداً عن مخاتلة اللغة ومراوغة الكلام باستخدام عبارات محلية مثل: "عزا يا عيب الشوم، بنات آخر زمن!"، "خير يا طير.. الله يستر"، "الدنيا قسمو ونصيب..." وهكذا استطاعت الروائية مقاربة النص الروائي وما ينطور عليه من محمولات وإشارات لتعبر أكثر عن واقع الناس من خلال متعة الحكي في "حياتنا الصغيرة".
يضم الكتاب (13) قصة قصيرة نذكر من عناوينها: "طوشة وقايمة"، "وبعدين مع عيشتنا؟"، "شبكة المعلومات"، "اللعبة"، "كيد النساء" ...الخ.
