إذا اجتمعنا على عدم تصديق فكرة معيّنة أو إستبعاد مفهوم معيّن قد لا تكون المشكلة كامنة في تلك الفكرة أو ذلك المفهوم.
يمكن أن تكمن المشكلة فينا نحن، لأننا نعاني من حالة خطيرة يعرّفها المفكرون العصريون بسيطرة "المنطق المألوف"، ويشار إليها باللغة الإنكليزية بالمصطلح REALITY CONSENSUS والترجمة الحرفية هي "الواقع المتفق عليه بين الجميع".
جميعنا ضحايا "المنطق المألوف"... جميعنا ضحايا توجه فكري ومعرفي محدد... خط مرسوم يجب سلوكه بدقة وإلا أصبحنا غير منطقيين... غير عقلانيين... وغير مقبولين في أوساطنا العلمية والإجتماعية والروحية.
يُعرّف المنطق المألوف على أنه كل ما اتفق عليه مجموعة كبيرة من الناس وآمنوا به على أنه يمثل الحقيقة.
يتشكل المنطق المألوف عندما يتفق الجميع حول قناعات ومعتقدات ومفاهيم معيّنة، وينسى هؤلاء بانهم لا يجسدون سوى طريقة محددة في التفكير وقد لا تمثّل نظرة صحيحة للواقع، وبالتالي لا تمثّل الواقع أصلاً.
فالواقع الحقيقي لا يمكن أن يُصنع لأنه موجود أساساً... وطريقة النظر إليه هي التي تصنع فقط، حتى لو شاركنا الآخرين في المفاهيم ذاتها والإعتقادات ذاتها...
هذا لا يعني أن المفاهيم والإعتقادات هي صحيحة، بل يمكن ان يعني أننا نشاركهم بالأوهام ذاتها وليس من الضرورة أن تكون حقائق ثابته.
وبالتالي إذا واجهنا مفاهيم غريبة علينا وقررنا عدم تصديقها أو إستبعاد حقيقة وجودها فهذا لا يعني أن قرارنا هو صحيح، بل السبب قد يكون أننا نخضع لتأثير "المنطق المألوف".
في هذا الكتاب سوف نتعرف على بعض مقومات وعوامل تشكيل المنطق المألوف، كما سوف نتعرف على أنفسنا... من نحن فعلياً؟... وعلى طبيعتنا الإستثنائية بشكل مجرّد ومتحرر من المنطق المألوف الذي يحكم عقولنا.
