"بين عهد وعهد" سلسلة جديدة تنطلق من العهد الأوّل مع أسفار العهد القديم، فتصل إلى العهد الثاني في قراءة روحيّة للأناجيل وسائر أسفار العهد الجديد؛ إذا كانت التوراة تجد كامل معناها في العهد الجديد، بعد أن جاء يسوع يكمّلها، لا ينقّصها، فالعهد الجديد يجد جذوره في العهد القديم؛ فالكتاب كلّه واحد من سفر التكوين إلى سفر الخروج، وكاتبه واحد هو الروح القدس، هكذا قرأه الآباء ونحن نقرأه مثلهم فنجعل كلام الله حياة لحياتنا ونوراً لخطانا.
في هذا الإطار نقرأ في هذا الكتاب التأمّلات المزموريّة التي جاءت في ثلاثة أقسام؛ في الأوّل، الراحة لدى الربّ في وقت الشدّة، فلماذا التذمّر والغضب؟ ولماذا لا نكون في حضن الله فنعرف الأمان، وفي القسم الثاني نكتشف الربّ الذي هو إله الخلق والخلاص، ونستطيع أن نقول: ذاك الذي صنعنا في الإبتداء لا يتركنا نتيه كخشبة صغيرة على سطح الأمواج، مرّات نحسب الله ذاك الغائب، ولكنّه حاضر؛ نحسبه ذاك النائم، ولكنّه لا ينعس ولا ينام؛ وإن هو انتظر ساعه تدخّله لكي يمتحن ثباتنا، فهو يقوم، والذين حسبوا نفوسهم شيئاً يتشتّتون ولا يبقى لهم أثر؛ والقسم الثالث إيمان بحضور الله؛ والإيمان هو إستسلام للربٌ وإستناد إلى قدرته وتعلّق بأذياله.
