في قديم الزمان عاش فى قرية صغيرة الأخوان دهشان وحسان ، كان حسان قنوعاً مطيعاً لوالده الشيخ حمدان يعاونه فى زراعة الحقل الكبير بكل جد و إتقان ، يرعى البقرة و الحمار فيهتم بطعامهما و نظافتهما و بعد إنتهاء عمله كان يعود للمنزل يعتنى بالكلب الذى كبر ولم يعد قادراً على الجرى و القطة الصغيرة التى وجدها فى إحدى ليالى الشتاء ترتجف من البرد فعطف عليها و حملها للمنزل لتعيش معهم و بفضلها صار الحقل خالياً من الفئران ، اما دهشان فكان على العكس طماعاً كسولاً يتهرب من العمل و يحلم ان يصبح غنياً من دون جهد او تعب .. مرت الأيام والأعوام و رحل الشيخ حمدان و ترك الحقل الكبير و البقرة والحمار لولديه دهشان وحسان.. كيف سيقتسمان ما تركه لهما والدهما؟ وماذا سيحصل معهما؟ ..
