"الانتروبولوجيا السياسية" علم جديد، وهو بالتالي عرضة لسوء الفهم، فهو ناجم برأي البعض، عن امتياز مفرط ممنوح للحيز السياسي من قبل الفكر الحديث الذي يعزو كل اعتبار للاجتماعي إلى وجهة نظر الفرد، بينما يرى البعض الآخر، بالعكس، أن الانتروبولوجيا السياسية تسهم بفعالية في حلّ "المفاهيم العرقية للسوسيولوجيا الأوروبية".
لذا فالمؤلف يحاول في كتابه هذا أن يبني أسس انتروبولوجيا سياسية متحررة، وقادرة على اكتشاف المجتمعات الأخرى من دون المنظار الغربي، ومن فوقه وبعده، محاولة تنفع كثيراً في طرح منهجية مقاربة وتحليل مختلفة وصالحة لرؤية موضوعية يمكن للاجتماعي العربي أن يتفحصها ويستعين بها في إنشاء المنهجية الجديدة الصالحة لإعادة اكتشاف الاجتماعي السياسي العربي على ضوء علم حديث خاص ومتحرر.
