كتاب مهم في الفقه جمع عدداً كبيراً من فتاوى الشيخ محمد شلتوت شيخ الزهر السابق والشيخ عبد الله بن جبرين، والشيخ محمد بن ، ناصر السعدي، إبراهيم آل الشيخ، والشيخ ناصر والشيخ عبد الله صالح الفوران. وقد جاء أكثر هذه الفتاوى في فقه العبادات مما يجعل الكتاب كنزاً لا غنى عنه لكل عالم ومتعلم.
وبالعودة للمقصود بالعبادات الخمسة في هذا الكتاب نجد أنها الطهارة، والصلاة والزكاة، والصوم والحج والعمرة. وبالنظر لأهمية هذا الكتاب فقد اهتم الشيخ المحقق علي عبد العال الطهطاوي بالإضافة إلى جمع مادة الكتاب بالتعليق عليه وبالتقديم له بمقدمة عن الفتوى للشيخ محمود شلتوت، ثم ذكر للعبادة في القرآن الكريم، من حيث بحث في لفظ عبادة، وعرف بالإخلاص، ثم بحث في هذا اللفظ، ثم في الاستعاذة، ثم بحث في لفظ الشرك لأن الشرك ضد الإخلاص وضد العبادة، ثم بحث في لفظ الكفر أخيراً.
