والبحث عن العلم ولو كان في الصين إنما يقصد بذلك كل علم، لأننا جميعاً نعلم أنه لم تكن هناك علوم شرعية يتعلمها المسلم من الصين أو أي من الأماكن البعيدة آنذاك، وما كان فيها فقه ولا حديث.. بل كانت علوم وأفكار لشعوب مختلفة وأكثرها علوم طبيعية.
