وبالعودة إلى التاريخ حرب حزيران هي الحرب التي نشبت بين (إسرائيل وكل من مصر وسوريا والأردن بين (5-10) حزيران 1967 وأفضت لإحتلال إسرائيل كل من سيناء وقطاع غزة والضفة الغربية والجولان.
يتحدث الكتاب عن لحظة تاريخية في الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي في العصر الحديث وفي هذا المجال يقول الكاتب: "... بقد توقفت الساعات الأخيرة في حرب الأيام الستة، عند لحظة تاريخية، ليبدأ بعدها اليوم السابع الذي لم تغب شمسه بعد. هذه الساعات كما يصفها روبرت جاكسون في كتابه "قصة القوات الجوية الإسرائيلية". شهدت عدداً من أشد المعارك شراسة في حرب حزيران 1967، وقد رأينا من المناسب أن ننقلها إلى القارئ العربي، لتكون همزة الوصل بين حرب الأيام الستة، وبين بداية اليوم السابع الذي سنتحدث عنه... في هذا الكتاب...".
