إن الزَّواج أقدس رابطة تجمع رجلاً بإمرأة، جاءت بها الشرائع السماوية كلها، واعتبرتها عبادة من العبادات، وأولتها إهتماماً كبيراً متميزاً على غيرها من شؤون الحياة، لأنها سبب إستمرارية الحياة على الأرض.
وقلةُ أولئك الذين تزوجوا فسعدوا في حياتهم، وكثير أولئك الذين تزوجوا فشقُوا في حياتهم، فإذا عرفت أسباب سعادة هؤلاء وأسباب شقاء أولئك، ثم تخلّقت بما يجب التخلّق به من الأسباب، وتجنبت أضدادها، فإنك ستسعد في نفسك، وتكون مصدر سعادة لزوجك وأولادك.
وإن كُتُبَ الحديث الشريف حفظت لنا الكثير من هدي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وحديثه عن الرجل والمرأة والحياة الزوجية المشتركة بينهما، وبيَّن عليه الصَّلاة والسَّلام لنا الحقوق والواجبات على أساسِ العدل، وجعل لكلِّ منهما وظائف يقوم بها؛ ليكتمل بمجموع تلك الوظائف بناء الأسرة السليم، الذي يضم في رحابه وبين جنباته أُناساً مترابطين متوادّين متحابين متعاضدين متعاونين على الخير، كالجسد الواحد إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى له سائر الجسد.
ولأهمية هذه الأحاديث اختيار المؤلف خمسين حديثاً نبوياً، بعضها صحيح، وبعضها حسن، وشرحها شرحاً مختصراً، ليقدمها هدية إلى كل بيتٍ في زمن كُثر فيه الخلاف، وسبب ذلك: الجهلُ بأحكام دين الله، وسوءُ الخُلُق عند الرجل والمرأة.
