حيث عالج هذا الكتاب المبادئ الأساسية لطرق التحليل الآلي بأسلوب سهل وواضح مستعيناً على ذلك بالأشكال البيانية والأمثلة المحلولة والنتائج التجريبية المجدولة ما أمكن مع شرح وافي لمزايا وعيوب وتطبيقات كل طريقة.
ويحتوى هذا الكتاب على أربعة أبواب وكل باب مقسم إلى عدة فصول تغطى أغلب وأهم طرق التحليل الآلي المعروفة، ويوجد في نهاية كل فصل أسئلة وتمارين بعضها مزود بالأجوبة النهائية في آخر الكتاب.
يختص الباب الأول بطرق التحليل الطيفي ويعالج الباب الثاني طرق التحليل الكهربائي ويناقش الباب الثالث طرق الفصل الكيميائي مع التركيز على الطرق الكروماتوجرافية أما الباب الرابع فيهتم بتقييم نتائج التحليل إحصائياً كما يشتمل على 29 تجربة عملية تغطى معظم الطرق المشروحة وكل تجربة مزودة بشرح مختصر لفكرتها.
ويوجد في نهاية الكتاب عدد من الملحقات التي تتضمن أهم الثوابت والقيم الشائعة الإستخدام في مجال التحليل الآلي مع قائمة بالمراجع التي استعان بها المؤلف في هذا الكتاب.
