إنَ طريقة الإمام الرَفاعي (رضي الله عنه)، طريقة العلماء والحكماء والأولياء والعرفاء والزهاد، طريقة بنيت على قواعد الشَرع المتين، فلم تحد عن كتاب الله العظيم ولا سنة الرَسول الكريم. وقد أفاض الله عليه وفجر بنابيع الحكمة من قلبه وأجراها على فيه، فكان كلاماً كله حكماً، يتكلم على النَاس كلاماً يذهل العقول، ويدهش الألباب، ويخطف القلوب، وكان منها هذه الحكم المباركة، والتي قام بشرحها وكشف خوافيها وأظهر دراريها حفيد الإمام الرَفاعي الإمام محمَد أبو الهدى الصيَادي، فكانت بحقَ كما سماها "قلائد الزَبرجد" ينتفع بها كل عبد يبتغي رضى مولاه (عزَ وجل).
ولأهمية هذا الكتاب عمل السيَد أحمد أبي الهدى على تحقيقه ليضعة بين يدي كل سالك ومسلك وكان عمله في الكتاب وفق ما يلي:
نقل حكم بعض الأئمة على الأحاديث الموجودة في غير الصحيحين.
مقدمة في الإستشهاد بالأحاديث الضعفة وأقوال المحدثين والعلماء في ذلك.
تراجم العلماء عدا المشهورين منهم.
شرح بعض الكلمات الغريبة، ووضع بعض التعليقات اللطيفة.
فهرسة الكتاب.
